Aluminium does not rust
A gutter is a wet channel that holds silt, and rust is what turns a steel guard into the thing blocking the gutter. The aluminium mesh is 0.7 mm and it will not.
Gutter Guards Company sells aluminium and plastic gutter mesh, brush guards, downpipe strainers and the tools to fit them. Delivered across Australia.
Aluminium mesh by the metre, plastic mesh by the roll, brush inserts by the set and stainless strainers for the downpipe. Which one is right depends on what falls on your roof.
A gutter is a wet channel that holds silt, and rust is what turns a steel guard into the thing blocking the gutter. The aluminium mesh is 0.7 mm and it will not.
The aluminium guard has no minimum. One awkward run over a doorway costs a metre, not a roll. The plastic mesh comes as a 6 m roll for a whole side of a house.
The aluminium cuts with tin snips, the plastic cuts with scissors and the brush guards push in and hold themselves. Nothing here needs a fixing or a drill.
Debris travels along the channel and packs into the top of the downpipe where nobody can see it. The 304 stainless strainers catch it where you can.
A 3.2 m telescoping ladder, a pole tool that clears the channel from the ground, level 5 cut resistant sleeves and cowhide gloves in four sizes at one price.

We sell gutter protection and nothing else, so this is the short version: which guard suits which roof, and the measurements that decide whether you are happy with it.
This is the decision everything else follows from. Broad leaves and twigs are stopped by anything here. Pine needles, seed pods and grit are not: they fall between the bristles of a brush guard and through a coarse mesh, so a fine mesh such as the aluminium guard with its 3.5 x 2 mm hole is the one to buy.
The aluminium guard is 0.7 mm and does not rust or go brittle. The plastic mesh costs a fraction of it and does the same job, until years of full Australian sun make it brittle. Plastic for a shaded run, a shed or a rental. Aluminium for the north-facing side you would rather not do twice.
A mesh has to be cut and held down, usually under the first row of tiles. The brush guard is pushed in and wedges itself, so it goes round an internal corner, over a curved profile and past a bracket with nothing cut at all. Eighteen brushes cover 16.5 metres.
A blocked gutter is usually a blocked outlet. The downpipe leaf guards are 304 stainless, fit a 75 mm downpipe and come four to a set, which is one per downpipe on most single-storey houses. They work on their own and they work better behind a guard.
The telescoping ladder reaches 3.2 metres, which is a single-storey gutter line and not a two-storey one. The pole tool takes most of the work to the ground. The cut resistant sleeves are for the folded edge of the gutter itself, which is what actually cuts an arm.
